Islamic world condemns deadly terror bombings in Baghdad

Xinhua, July 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Monday strongly denounced Saturday's terrorist bombing in Baghdad, Iraq.

ISESCO said in a statement that the rampant acts of terrorism, sectarian incitement and foreign interference in Iraq undermine the country's unity, security and sovereignty.

These acts must be addressed through unification, respecting sectarian diversity and rejecting the foreign hegemony violating Iraq's sovereignty, attempting to append it into its expansionist and subversive direction, the statement declared.

ISESCO reiterated its rejection of all forms of terrorism, expressing its support of dedicated efforts attempting to eliminate its root causes.

Furthermore, it conveyed its condolences to the victims' families, extended its sympathy to the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. Enditem
