561,948 foreign citizens enter Albania in Q1 2016

Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) informed on Saturday that in the first quarter of 2016 a total of 561,948 foreign citizens have entered Albania.

According to INSTAT data, in the first quarter of 2016, compared to the same period in 2015, the number of foreign citizens entering the country increased by 15.3 percent.

A total of 1,028,255 Albanian citizens left the country, registering an increase of 18.2 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

The number of foreign visitors who have come to Albania on vacation or daily visits during the first quarter of 2016 is estimated at 58,715 visitors compared to 47,646 in the corresponding period in 2015.

Inflows from western Europe countries are estimated at 18,881 and compared to the first quarter 2015 this number dropped by 8.5 percent, whereas the arrivals from southern Europe are estimated at 489,785 registering an increase of 21.7 percent. Endit
