Japan confirms death of 7 Japanese in Dhaka terror attack

The Japanese government said late Saturday that the seven Japanese nationals in the terror attack in Bangladesh have been confirmed dead, local media reported.

The victims were identified through photographs and belongings, Japan's Kyodo News reported, citing Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga.

At least 20 civilians were killed when attackers stormed a cafe in Dhaka on Friday, took the cafe visitors who were mostly foreigners as hostages before the troops came. Endit
