Xinhua, July 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

An international rally started here in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday.

The rally through China, Mongolia and Russia has attracted more than 60 participants from China, driving 20 cars, organizers said.

"They have been divided into four groups and each group will start on different dates," said Duan Xiaoping, head of the organizing committee. "Everybody will finish the whole journey within 15 days."

The route covers much of the ancient "Tea Road", which was used by Chinese merchants in the 17th century to transport their goods to as far as Europe. Endit
