Photo exhibition online shows China's poverty reduction

Xinhua, June 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

A gallery of photographs of China's work in combating poverty went online on Wednesday morning.

Arranged chronologically from the founding of the People's Republic of China, through reform and opening to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), more than 300 photos recording the improvements in people's lives are available at News.cn.

The online gallery also shows China's contribution to global poverty reduction.

Eliminating poverty is an important mission of the CPC, with hundreds of millions of people lifted out of poverty in past decades. China plans to end domestic poverty by 2020.

Sponsored by the State Council Information Office and Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation, the exhibition is curated by Xinhua News Agency. Endi
