China, Thailand vow to deepen pragmatic cooperation

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli on Monday met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak in Beijing.

Zhang said China and Thailand are close and friendly neighbors and reliable partners to each other.

He praised the tangible results achieved in bilateral pragmatic cooperation, saying China is ready to work with Thailand to enhance mutual understanding and support on major issues related to each other's concern.

The two sides should deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas of railway, economic and trade, people-to-people exchanges, strengthen coordination on regional and international affairs, so as to push for greater development of bilateral relations, said the vice premier.

Somkid said Thailand attaches great importance to relations with China, and firmly believes that China's economic development will continue to take the lead in the development of regional economy and make contributions to global economic growth.

Thailand hopes to deepen cooperation with China in sectors of railways and the digital economy. Endi
