Singapore stocks close 0.20 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.54 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 2,729.85.

A total of 949.3 million shares changed hands with turnover of 1.13 billion Singapore dollars (831.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 205 to 160, while 542 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 58.46 points, or 2.09 percent, to close at 2,735.39 on June 24. Endit
