At least seven people were hurt after a rollercoaster crashed off the rails at a theme park in North Lanarkshire on Sunday, local police confirmed.

"Emergency services are responding to an ongoing incident at M&Ds theme park in Motherwell and further updates will be given in due course," a Police Scotland spokesman was quoted as saying by online Scotsman newspaper. Endit
