Egypt's Administrative Court postponed on Sunday a verdict in a government appeal against last week's ruling that nullified a deal signed between Cairo and Riyadh in April that placed two Red Sea islands into the Saudi water.

According to state-run MENA news agency, the session was postponed to July 3 until a decision made on a lawsuit seeking the stepping down of the court's body. (Egypt-Saudi Arabia-Islands)

JERUSALEM -- Israel said Sunday it arrested a 36-year-old Palestinian dentist for allegedly committing a bomb attack at a West Bank checkpoint in May, wounding an army officer.

A statement by the army's spokesperson unit identified the suspect as Samer Mahmoud Daud al-Khalbiyah from Abu Dis, a Palestinian town east of Jerusalem. (Israel-Palestinian-Bomb Attack)

JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Up to 25 anti-government militants have been killed and two dozen others injured as government forces launched cleanup operations in the eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday night, a statement released by the provincial government here on Sunday said.

"The security forces backed by warplanes begun attacking enemies in Kot, Khogiani and Ghani Khil districts on Saturday night and so far 18 militants loyal to Islamic State group and seven Taliban insurgents have been killed," the statement said. (Afghanistan-Militants)

LAGOS -- The Nigerian government on Sunday confirmed that there was a jailbreak at Kuje Medium Prison on Friday night.

MOGADISHU -- Death toll from Saturday's attack by Al-Shabaab militants on a hotel in the Somali capital of Mogadishu has risen to 16 and a state minister was among those killed, an official said Sunday.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Security, Abdikamil Mo'allim Shukri told Xinhua that more bodies had been found from the debris of the hotel, including the body of Bur'i Mohamed Hamza, the State Minister in the Prime Minister's Office for Environment Affairs. (Somalia-Attack)

BAGHDAD -- A senior Iraqi commander on Sunday declared full liberation of the city of Fallujah from Islamic State (IS) militants after about a month of battles against the extremist militants.
