(Sports) China beats Netherlands 3-0 for seventh win at FIVB World Grand Prix

China took the seventh straight win after beating Netherlands 3-0 at the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix women's volleyball tournament here on Friday.

Zhang Changning delivered 12 kills, 7 blocks to score team-high 13 points, leading Chinese women to the 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 rout.

"Actually, if you just looked at the results, you might not know that Netherlands played really well tonight, especially in the second set. However, we grabbed more opportunities than them. And in some key points, we did better." said China head coach Lang Ping. Yan ni added 12 points for China, while Gong Xiaoyu contributed 11 points.

"The younger players did good tonight, even they still need do more progress. I am satisfied with their performance," added Lang Ping.

Earlier on, team United States defeated Germany 25-19, 25-22 and 30-28.

The second day will see China versus Germany, while USA face the Netherlands in Saturday's other match of the four-team round-robin tournament. Endit
