China SOE profits continue slumping

Combined profits of China's state-owned enterprises (SOE) reached 837.39 billion yuan (128.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the first five months of this year, down 9.6 percent from one year earlier, official data showed Friday.

The pace of decline widened from the 8.4-percent fall registered in the first four months, the Ministry of Finance said. Endi
