Iranian soccer club Persepolis has singed the Croatian-Australian defender Antony Golec, Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday.

The 26-year-old left back has joined Tehran-based Persepolis on two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, the report said.

Golec was a member of the inaugural Sydney FC National Youth League squad in 2008-09.

On 25 October 2008, Golec made his debut for Sydney FC against Melbourne Victory.
