The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Ethiopia has been playing a leading role in bringing peace and stability to South Sudan, according to the Vice President of South Sudan.

-- Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia is set to launch Chinese language training in a regular program as of next Ethiopian academic year. The university taught the language in a non-regular program for the past two years.

-- The Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy of South Korea announced that it would send an on-site inspection team to Ethiopia.

The team, which is scheduled to stay in Ethiopia from June 19 to 25, includes personnel from the ministry, the Korea Electric Power Corporation, the Korea Electric Power Research Institute, the Korea Energy Management Corporation and the Korea New & Renewable Energy Center.

The purpose of the team is to come up with a business model before setting up a local town that is self-sufficient in terms of energy. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- A five-year project which help to improve quality of health service in the country was launched in Adama town on Saturday.
