China draw 0-0 with Japan in U-19 soccer tournament

China played out to a 0-0 draw against Japan in the Panda Cup U-19 soccer tournament here on Sunday.

Both team made a few changes to their starting line-ups in the last game of the four-team tournament which also features Croatia and Czech Republic.

Japanese striker Daisuke Sakai came close to scoring in the 13th minute but his shot from outside the box was parried away by China's goalkeeper Zhang Yan.

Japan continued to dominate in the second half but was not able to turn their superiority into goals.

Yoichi Naganuma had a good opportunity in the 56th minute but it was stopped by Zhang Yan again. Endit
