At least 7 killed in traffic accident in Vietnam's central highlands

At least seven people died in a head-on collision between two buses at a mountain pass in Da Lat city in Vietnam's Central Highlands Lam Dong province on Sunday.

A bus, carrying over 40 people, was reportedly lost its brake while crossing down Prenn mountain pass in Da Lat. The bus then hit a road worker and crashed into another tourist bus carrying around 20 people travelling from the opposite direction, according to an official online newspaper of Lam Dong province.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. local time (0330 GMT) on Sunday.

The road worker and six passenger on the tourist bus died on spot, said the report. Injured passengers have been sent to hospitals in Da Lat for treatment. Endit
