Eighth Cross-Strait Forum sees deepened exchange

Xinhua, June 17, 2016 Adjust font size:

The eighth Cross-Strait Forum, China's largest annual cross-Strait event, concluded on Friday in Fujian Province.

The week-long forum, with the aim to boost people-to-people exchanges and integrated development between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, held 19 major activities on youth exchange, grassroots entities and trade.

Topics of common concern for youth across the Strait, including employment, entrepreneurship and public services, were highlighted in forms such as a business plan competition, micro films panorama, and coffee skills contest, among others.

A cross-Strait think tank forum has been set up, which invited nearly 80 scholars and experts to discuss topics ranging from cross-Strait cooperation to Belt and Road Initiative. Endi
