Dollar moves in lower 106 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 106 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, largely in line with rates seen in New York overnight.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 106.07-08 yen compared with 106.04-14 in New York and 105.85-87 at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1211-1212 dollars and 118.92-93 yen against 1.1199-1209 dollars and 118.84-94 yen in New York and 1.1250-1252 dollars and 119.08-12 yen in late trade on Tuesday afternoon in Tokyo. Enditem
