Egypt condemns Orlando deadly shooting attack

Egypt's Foreign Ministry condemned on Monday the mass shooting in Orlando, Florida which killed 50 people and injured 53 others, state-run MENA news agency reported.

In a statement, spokesman for the ministry Ahmed Abu Zaid offered the Egyptian government's and people's condolences to the U.S. government and people, wishing speedy recovery to the injured of the "hideous attack."

He expressed Egypt's solidarity with the U.S. authorities and people.

The spokesman renewed Egypt's condemnation to all kinds of terror and violence, calling for an overall confrontation and an international solidarity to put an end to the phenomenon of terrorism worldwide.

At least 50 people killed and 53 others injured Sunday when a man opened fire at the popular gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, Florida. Endit
