Xinhua, June 13, 2016 Adjust font size:

Hainan Airlines Co., the fourth-largest carrier in China, on Monday celebrated the maiden flight of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Haikou, capital of the southernmost province Hainan to Beijing.

"Boeing 787 Dreamliners are the cutting-edge models. The 787-9 Dreamliner will be a great addition to our long-haul fleet," said Pu Ming, vice president of Hainan Airlines.

As the largest 787 operator in China, Hainan Airlines already has 10 787-8s in service and plans to deploy the 787-9 on its China-U.S. route, Pu said.

The 787-9 offers large windows, large stowage bins, modern LED lighting, higher humidity and cleaner air.

Passengers will be provided with in-flight wifi and a new entertainment system, he added. Endi
