Fraser appointed new head coach of Vitesse

Xinhua, June 13, 2016 Adjust font size:

Dutch soccer club Vitesse presented Henk Fraser as new coach on Monday after the former ADO Den Haag manager signed a two-year deal in Arnhem.

The 49-year-old former Dutch international Fraser succeeds Rob Maas, who was fired after an unsuccessful spell of half a year. Vitesse finished 9th in the 2015/2016 Eredivisie season.

Maas had followed in the footsteps of Peter Bosz, who moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv in January this year and returned to the Netherlands to train Ajax this summer.

Fraser started his career as head coach at ADO Den Haag and led his team to the 9th, 13th and 11th spot respectively in the past three seasons. ADO now has to look for a successor for Fraser, who had a contract until mid-2017 in The Hague. Endit
