Hebei China Fortune defeat Shandong Luneng 2-1 in Chinese Super League

Hebei China Fortune beat Shandong Luneng 2-1 in the 12th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday, maintaining the second place on the table.

Jiang Ning managed to beat the goalkeeper Wang Dalei after Gervinho's passing put him clear of Shandong Luneng defence in the 19th minute, putting the debutant Hebei China Fortune in the lead.

Yang Xu's header in the 37th minute equalized the score for Shandong Luneng, but Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia headed in the winner in the 70th minute for the host team. Hebei maintained the second place on the league table while Shandong Luneng extended their winless streak to seven games in CSL and stayed at the bottom of the table with nine points to their credit.

In the other match played on Sunday between Beijing Guoan and Changchun Yatai, the host team Beijing Guoan beat Changchun Yatai 2-0 thanks to two domestic strikers Zhang Xizhe and Yu Dabao.

After a scoreless first half, Zhang Xizhe scored the penalty in the 59th minute. Yu Dabao enlarged the edge in five minutes and Beijing Guoan managed to keep the score of 2-0 to the last minute.

The next round of CSL will kick off next Saturday. Endit
