China wins all three friendlies against Team American United

Chinese men' s basketball team managed to cut a 11-point deficit to win their third straight friendly 84-75 against Team American United here on Sunday.
The visitors built up a 30-20 lead with a 11-0 run in the second quarter, and China clawed back with tighter defense to finish the first half 37-35.
With five minutes to go, led by Yi Jianlian, a former NBA player, China secured a 7-point lead over the Americans with a 8-0 run. Then they never looked back and wrapped up the win with a slamdunk from Zhai Xiaochuan, who scored six of China's last eight points.
Yi Jianlian had a match-high 23 points, followed by Zhai with 21. Marcus Van led the Team American United with 15 points.
In preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games, from Tuesday China will take a busy tour including warmup matches in Italy, Stankovic Cup tournament in Beijing and two matches against the dream team in the United States.
"We are not afraid to lose these matches," said China' s head coach, Gong Luming. "we need to find stong opponents to challenge ourselves." Endit
