At least 3 killed in Central African Republic clashes

At least three people were killed in a new escalation of violence occurred Saturday in Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic (CAR).

Members of the Muslim community have decided to take revenge after the discovery of a Muslim body suspected to be murdered by Christians on Saturday night in Bangui, sources told Xinhua on Sunday.

"Violent clashes subsequently broke out between communities of Muslim and Christian," the sources said. "This morning, the bodies of three men were found in Bangui."

An apparent calm prevailed in the city on Sunday, but the shops in Muslim area are closed. Endit
