Local Myanmar Agribusiness company to join Yangon Stock Exchange

A Myanmar local agribusiness company, Myanmar Agribusiness Public Corporation (MAPCO), has planned to join Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) in August this year, official media reported Friday.

MAPCO was granted as one of the six selected listing companies on YSX in 2015.

U Ye Min Aung, Vice Chairman of MAPCO, said the company is awaiting for foreign companies to be allowed for trading shares on YSX or better trading environment than present.

MAPCO was formed in 2012 to boost investment in agriculture and agro-industries in the country. At present, the company is selling shares to existing shareholders to expand the capital and the selling will continue till early July.

YSX is operating with two listed companies and five securities companies and the securities trading has officially started on May 25. Enditem
