Nepalese Vice President to leave for China on Friday

Vice President of Nepal, Nanda Bahadur Pun, will attend the 4th China-South Asia Expo and the 24th Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair to be held in Kunming of China's Southern Yunnan Province from June 12 to 17, a government minister said on Wednesday.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday endorsed the vice president's trip to China that begins on Friday, Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pande told media here in Kathmandu.

The vice president will be leading a delegation comprising high-ranking officials from the Vice President Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The vice president is also expected to hold meetings with some Chinese officials on the sidelines of the expo in Kunming.

This will be the first overseas visit of the vice president since he assumed office on Dec. 31 last year. Enditem
