Burkina Faso, Namibia to reinforce economic, cultural cooperation

Xinhua, June 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Burkina Faso and Namibia will reinforce their economic and cultural cooperation, the President of Namibia Parliament Margaret Mensah Wiliams and her Burkinabe counterpart Salifou Diallo said Tuesday in Ouagadougou.

"We have discussed about cooperation between Namibia and Burkina Faso, and more specifically, we have spoken about economic development and the possibility of having cultural and political exchanges between our different countries," Mensah said after visiting Burkina Faso Parliament.

As Africans, we must unite, defend our integrity and in a true democracy, we must govern for the development and interest of our people," she continued.

"Governance should not be done just for personal interests, but for the interests of the people. I congratulate the Burkina Faso people for standing up to defend their democracy," Mensah concluded. Endit
