Morocco's economic growth rose to 4.5 percent in 2015 against 2.6 a year earlier, an official report stated on Tuesday.

According to a report by the Moroccan High Planning Commission, the growth is due to substantial external demand, noting that exports increased by six percent whilst imports dropped by 3.1 percent.

The growth was also owing to significant growth in value-added agriculture, amounting to a 12.8 percent rise compared with 2014.

Non-agricultural enterprises increased by 1.9 percent in 2015 against 2.5 percent a year before, the source added. Endit
