Indian stocks closed lower Monday after a directionless day ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's bimonthly money policy review on Tuesday.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 26,777.45, 65.58 points or 0.24 percent down from previous close of 26,843.03, with a turnover of 584.17 crore rupees (about 87.1 million US dollars). Endit
