China's NEEQ weekly turnover rises

Xinhua, June 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

Total turnover on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), the market for Chinese startup companies to raise funds, continued to rise in the past week.

From May 30 to June 3, transaction volume on the NEEQ rose 6.86 percent from the previous week to 3.5 billion yuan (nearly 540 million U.S. dollars).

During the week, 85 enterprises debuted on the market.

So far, there have been 7,479 companies listed on the NEEQ with total market capitalization of more than 3 trillion yuan.

More small firms are turning to the NEEQ for financing as the government is promoting a multi-level capital market to satisfy growing funding demand from both large and small companies. Endi
