China's Wang Yihan secured a berth in the women's final of the Indonesia Open 2016 Super Series badminton tournament after trashing the no. 1 player from Spain Carolina Marin in more than one hour here on Saturday.

The no. 4 Wang finally made it to the final after beating Marin 16-21, 21-11, 21-17 in 1 hour and 19 minutes.

"I was struggling hard to defeat Marin in the match. The wind was a bit strong that made me encountered difficulties to play in the second game," Wang told a press conference after the match held in Jakarta's landmark badminton arena of Istora Senayan.

She said that she is now looking forward to play her best in the upcoming Rio Olympics scheduled in August. "Many good players would vie in the Olympiad. I need to take careful move in each match in the Olympic Games," she added.

In the final, Wang would face the winner between compatriot and the No. 6 Wang Xishian and Chinese Taipei player Tai Tzu Ying. Endit
