A suspect in the shooting and wounding two police officers a day earlier was found dead Thursday morning inside a home in Northern California.
Police spokeswomen Geneva Bosques of Fremont, a city more than 60 kilometers south of San Francisco, said the suspect's body was in a closet of the home where he had been holding out since Wednesday afternoon. (US-Shooting)

TRIPOLI -- At least 85 bodies of migrants washed ashore in Libya's western city of Zwarah on Thursday as they attempted to cross the Mediterranean, an official of the Libyan Red Crescent confirmed.

BUCHAREST -- Technical malfunction or bad weather could be the causes of the crash of a Romanian medevac helicopter in Moldova, said Moldova's first deputy Prosecutor General Eduard Harunjen late Thursday.
