Xinhua, June 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

The 2016 Stankovic Cup basketball tournament will be held in Beijing from July 5 to 9, featuring four teams with three having been qualified for the upcoming Rio Olympic Games.

Cheng Wanqi, honorary president of the sport's world governing body FIBA, said here on Thursday that four national teams of China, France, Argentina and Nigeria, will line up for the single round-robin tournament with the final slated on July 9.

Except France, the other three teams have already qualified for the Rio Olympics, and both Argentina and Nigeria were said to send their first string squads.

As a fine tune-up for the Olympics, the hosts will also dispatch their best cagers to the five-day tournament, including Yi Jianlian, Guo Ailun and Zhou Qi. Endit
