Colombian Olympic women's team returns from successful trip

Colombian women's Olympic soccer team on Wednesday returned home from a successful trip to neighboring country Venezuela, where they remained undefeated in four matches against two local teams.

According to Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, the Colombian team crushed Venezuela's U-20 tea 8-0 on Tuesday.

The Colombian team began the trip one week ago in Isla Margarita, in Venezuela's state of Nueva Esparta with a 2-0 victory against the Venezuelan women's team.

Colombia, led by coach Felipe Taboada, will be part of Group G at Rio de Janeiro 2016, together with United States, France and New Zealand.

The team that took part in training in Venezuela included Sandra Sepulveda, Melissa Ortiz, Nataly Arias, Corina Clavijo, Orianica Velasquez, Carolina Pineda, Liana Salazar, Tatiana Ariza, Leicy Santos, Diana Ospina and Catalina Usme. Endit
