British FTSE 100 decreases 0.62 pct on Wednesday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday decreased by 0.62 percent, or 38.86 points, to close at 6,191.93 points.

The share price of Shire increased by 2.82 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips.

Fresnillo, Mediclinic International, Pearson and Tesco increased by 2.28 percent, 1.96 percent, 1.13 percent and 1.12 percent respectively.

Wolseley led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.50 percent, following by J Sainsbury (4.32 percent), Rio Tinto (3.84 percent), Taylor Wimpey (3.75 percent) and Barratt Developments (3.12 percent). Endit
