Spanish stock market falls 1.30 pct, closes at 8,916 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 fell 1.30 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,916.90 points, down from the 9,034 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session Sacyr shares led falls losing 4.76 percent, followed by IAG, Banco Santander, OHL, ArcerlorMittal and Gas Natural that lost 3.56 percent, 2.77 percent, 2.71 percent, 2.47 percent and 2.25 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 7.30 percent, followed by Gamesa, FCC, Banco Sabadell and Grifols that rose 1.37 percent, 0.26 percent, 0.26 percent and 0.10 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 136.20 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.5 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday. Endit
