Seaside tourist spots become "Amazing Thai Romance" destinations

Xinhua, June 1, 2016 Adjust font size:

Varied seaside spots in Thailand are currently promoted as wedding and honeymoon destinations for foreign couples under the so-called ''Amazing Thai Romance'' campaign.

Deputy Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Jutaporn Roengron-asa said on Wednesday Thailand's tourist destinations especially suited for newly-weds and honeymoon makers include tropical seaside resorts of Phuket and Krabi provinces on the shores of the Andaman Sea as well as Koh Samui island off Surat Thani province and Koh Kood island off Trat province on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand.

''Those places are currently promoted as Thailand's favorite wedding and honeymoon destinations for high-end foreign couples, who will be especially treated under the Amazing Thai Romance campaign,'' Jutaporn said.

The agency earlier invited representatives of hotels and travel agents from a dozen countries around the globe to visit those seaside tourist destinations to help lure foreign couples who will be considered high-end visitors, she said.

A dozen tourist markets have been targeted for the ''Amazing Thai Romance'' campaign, including the Chinese Mainland, China's Hong Kong, China's Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, France, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Indonesia, according to the deputy governor.
