U.S. still tops China's overseas portfolio investment list

The United States remained the top destination of China's overseas portfolio investment at the end of 2015, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) on Tuesday.

China invested 111 billion dollars, including investment in equities and bonds, in the United States as of the end of 2015, SAFE said on its website.

China's Hong Kong came second, attracting 58.5 billion dollars, followed by the Cayman Islands with 16.7 billion dollars.

In total, China made 169 billion dollars of overseas equity investment and 112 billion dollars of overseas bond investment, according to the SAFE. Endi
