Mexican footballer kidnapped in home town

Xinhua, May 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Greece's Olympiakos striker Alan Pulido was kidnapped in Mexico, local law enforcement officials said on Sunday.

Family members told authorities that six armed men snatched the Mexican footballer around dawn in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria, in northeastern Mexico.

State prosecutor Ismael Quintanilla said Pulido, 25, disappeared after returning from a party and his location has not been found yet.

Officials said military and police forces were searching for Pulido in the state of Tamaulipas, which shares a border with the United States. Endit
