1st LD: 11 injured in Paris lightning strike, six seriously

Eleven people, including 10 children and an adult, were hurt Saturday when lightning struck a park in Paris, local official Vincent Baladi said.

According to Baladi, six of the victims were seriously injured.

"There are currently 11 injured unfortunately, 10 children and an adult who was accompanying them," Baladi told iTELE television.

The accident happened at Parc Monceau in northwest Paris as a thunder storm rumbled over the city. Endit
