The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Zambia's anti-corruption watchdog has embarked on a campaign aimed at achieving significant reduction in the levels of corruption ahead of this year's general election.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director general Irene Lamba said the effects of electoral corruption could not be downplayed because it resulted in the election of corrupt leaders who ended up misusing resources and abusing the authority entrusted in them.

-- The Zambian government has called for the strengthening of the investment and economic partnerships in African countries for them to contribute to the growth and development of the continent.

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Margaret Mwanakatwe said the Zambian government places a lot of emphasis on fostering joint venture partnerships between local and foreign owned companies. (DAILY NATION)

-- The United Nations (UN) and the Zambian government have started discussing ways of how to connect health facilities to solar power at a cost of 40 million U.S. dollars.

UN Resident Coordinator Janet Rogan said the project was aimed at enabling authorities at health facilities to store medical supplies at recommended temperatures, which becomes a challenge when there was no electricity. (TIMES OF ZAMBIA)

--The Zambia national soccer team lost to Togo in an international friendly match played on Friday evening.
