Myanmar declines to issue license for illegally imported vehicles

Myanmar's new government has no plan in this fiscal year to issue licenses for vehicles illegally imported through border points, official media reported on Saturday.

The authorities concerned will not allow those imported vehicle owners to get licenses for their possessions, U Thant Sin Maung, Union Minister for Transport and Communication, told the House of Nationalities (Upper House).

The ministry has given licenses to 659,648 vehicles during the last five-year period from 2011 to 2016. Endit
