More than 20 injured in Calais refugee camp brawl: report

About 20 migrants, one police officer and at least three volunteers were injured Thursday afternoon during a brawl in the refugee camp in Calais, northwest France, Le Figaro reported Thursday.

The brawl broke out between 200 Afghan and Sudanese refugees in the afternoon, the French newspaper reported, citing several sources.

According to Le Figaro, the fight took place during the food distribution in the day care center, then spread to the interim care center.

Several huts were also burnt down.

The local prefecture said the situation was "stabilized" at around 06:30 p.m.(0530 GMT) local time. Endit
