Singapore stocks close 0.24 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 6.65 points, or 0.24 percent, to close at 2,773.31.

A total of 974.8 million shares changed hands with turnover of 775 million Singapore dollars (561.6 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 207 to 180, while 528 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 16.43 points, or 0.6 percent, to close at 2,766.66 on Wednesday. Enditem
