Xinhua, May 26, 2016 Adjust font size:

Some 5.5 tons of caviar contaminated with methenamine has been destroyed in Kamchatka Peninsula, in Russia's Far East, investigators said Thursday.

The tainted caviar has already been sold in several stores in the city of Vilyuchinsk, Kamchatka Peninsula.

Two businessmen in connection with the case have been charged with illegally adding methenamine as a food additive, and each was fined 250,000 rubles (3,900 U.S. dollars). Endi
