British FTSE 100 rose 0.70 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.70 percent, or 43.59 points, to 6,262.85 points.

Share price of Royal Bank of Scotland Group increased by 4.36 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips.

International Consolidated Airlines Group, Standard Chartered, HSBC Holdings and Glencore increased by 3.67 percent, 3.47 percent, 2.80 percent and 2.78 percent respectively.

Marks & Spencer Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 10.19 percent, followed by Intertek Group (5.70 percent), Carnival (2.65 percent), Taylor Wimpey (2.57 percent), Rolls-Royce Holdings (2.51 percent). Endit
