Jordan keen to boost all-round ties with China

King Abdullah II of Jordan stressed Jordan's keenness to boost ties with China in all fields, the state-run Petra news agency reported on Wednesday.

During a meeting with China's State Councilor Wang Yong, the Jordanian leader said there exists a need to foster ties and build upon agreements and partnerships between both countries, especially in the economic and commercial fields.

Discussions also covered means of boosting ties in the fields of culture and tourism and exchanging visits between official delegations from both countries in addition to improving cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

Both sides also discussed regional and international developments as well as efforts to reach regional and world peace, where the King stressed on the importance of China's role in this regard.

The Chinese officials said that China is keen on developing ties with Jordan, voicing their appreciation of the country's efforts in preserving regional peace and stability. Endit
