Spanish stock market rises 2.34 pct, closes at 8,918 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 2.34 percent on Tuesday to close at 8,918.10 points, up from the 8,714 points of Monday.

On Tuesday's session, Mapfre shares led rises by climbing 4.96 percent, followed by Banco Popular, BBVA, Banco Sabadell, Sacyr and ArcelorMittal that rose 4.33 percent, 4.29 percent, 3.50 percent, 3.38 percent and 3.29 percent, respectively.

Tecnicas Reunidas shares climbed by 0.14 percent. FCC, Acerinox, Gamesa, AENA and Enagas shares rose 0.22 percent, 0.39 percent, 0.65 percent, 1.05 percent and 1.16 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 135.20 points, which was below the 139.80 points of Monday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.5 percent, showing no differences when compared with that of Monday. Endit
