British FTSE 100 rose 1.35 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 1.35 percent, or 82.83 points, to 6,219.26 points.

Share price of Tesco increased by 6.81 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Old Mutual, Legal & General Group, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Prudential increased by 5.86 percent, 5.11 percent, 4.78 percent and 4.72 percent, respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.25 percent, following by Randgold Resources (3.04 percent), Coca-Cola HBC (3.00 percent), Ashtead Group (1.03 percent) and Shire (0.79 percent). Endit
