Dollar moves in lower 109 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar was changing hands in the lower 109 yen zone in Tokyo on Tuesday morning, marginally higher than levels seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 109.38-43 yen compared with 109.19-29 yen in New York and 109.54-55 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1212-1216 dollars and 122.65-66 yen against 1.1215-1225 dollars and 122.53-63 yen in New York and 1.1221-1222 dollars and 122.92-96 yen late on Monday afternoon in Tokyo. Endit
