Singapore stocks close 0.11 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 3.11 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 2,766.93.

A total of 1.02 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 690.2 million Singapore dollars (500.1 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 197 to 193, while 521 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 23.71 points, or 0.87 percent, to close at 2,763.82 on Friday. Enditem
